Transportation and Parking offers a variety of online services and maps. Employees and students are encouraged to explore all available transportation and parking options.
Visitor Parking
Parking facilities dedicated to visitor and patient parking are located throughout the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. This parking provides hourly parking access to visitors and patients to the UNC-Chapel Hill campus as well as UNC Health.
Event Parking
UNC-Chapel Hill hosts a wide variety of events on campus including sports, concerts, plays, and VIP guests. Departments hosting events on campus will often need to make special arrangements through Transportation and Parking to accommodate the event.
Transit Maps
Many transit systems serve UNC-Chapel Hill, including the fare-free, local Chapel Hill Transit system. Regional transit systems connect the University to surrounding areas. Park-and-Ride lots make it easy to catch the bus for work or class.
Bike Maps
UNC-Chapel Hill is very bicycle-friendly. Cyclists are allowed to use brick paths to navigate the campus, and the streets through campus have lower speed limits to encourage motorists to share the road. The University’s Bicycle Master Plan will help further improve the campus for cycling.
