NOTE: Construction is now complete and Ridge Road is open.

Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic in phases to allow the Town of Chapel Hill to perform resurfacing. During an initial phase, Ridge Road was closed between Manning Drive and the Rams Head Parking Deck.

On Thursday, August 4, construction will shift to the north and continue through Sunday, August 7, 2016. During this period, Ridge Road will be closed between the Rams Head Parking Deck and Boshamer Stadium. Vehicles may access deck via main entrance. Boshamer Stadium, Rams Head Center, and Avery Hall will remain open.  Access from Stadium Drive onto Ridge Road will be blocked; all other traffic will be detoured onto Pittsboro Street / South Columbia Street via Manning Drive and South Road (see the map below).

PhaseII

Monday, August 8 through Friday, August 12, a last construction phase will include the application of a final layer of asphalt on the entirety of Ridge Road, but through traffic will be maintained through single lane travel and the use of flagmen.
