Chapel Hill Transit will make service changes effective Monday, August 15, 2016.

  • A Route: A-Limited morning trips will resume (7:14–9:44 a.m.). These trips operate in a loop between Hillsborough Street, Campus and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and only operate when the University is in session.
  • CM Route: Schedule will be adjusted to better match actual travel times and improve schedule performance.
  • CPX Route: Schedule will be adjusted during afternoon to better match traffic conditions.
  • HS Route: Route will be adjusted to provide increased frequency along Rogers Road and Homestead Road. Customers traveling to/from Downtown and to/from northern Chapel Hill will need to transfer at stops along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
  • HU Route: Schedule will be adjusted during afternoon to better match traffic conditions.
  • NU Route: Weekday and weekend service will resume. The route will also be realigned to serve Hillsborough Street and will no longer serve the Franklin Street stop at the Coffee Shop.
  • T Route: Service will be adjusted in the afternoon to better match traffic conditions.
  • U Route: Weekend service will resume.
  • The CM, HS and T route schedules will be adjusted to serve the new afternoon dismissal time for high schools.
  • Safe Rides: Service will resume on Thursday, August 18 and will operate on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings when the University is in session.
  • EZ Rider will operate Monday-Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 11:17 p.m., Saturdays from 8:15 a.m. to 11:17 p.m. and Sundays from 10:38 a.m. until 11:17 p.m. (Premium Service will operate on a space-available basis from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
