The Commuter Alternative Program rewards faculty, staff and students who choose to take the bus, join a rideshare, ride a bike or walk to campus. Sustainable transportation options improve air quality, build community and reduce traffic congestion to make everyone’s commute better.

CAP Eligibility Rules

  • Must live off campus
  • Must forgo an on-campus daytime parking permit
  • Must be a UNC student or employee (paid by the University or Hospitals) to receive a GoPass or vanpool subsidy

Best Workplaces for Commuters 2021 UNC-Chapel Hill Named to Best Workplaces for Commuters 2021

Holiday Schedules & Closures Winter Break 2020 – Holiday Hours of Operation

The Transportation and Parking Customer Service window will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 for winter break and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.
