UNC-Chapel Hill’s Commuter Alternative Program (CAP) offers many benefits to members, including a Discount Card, prize drawings, and Commuter News monthly e-newsletter
Register for CAP to enjoy the commuter benefits below.
- Discount Card: Use the CAP Discount Card for deals at participating local restaurants and shops!
- Prize drawings: Members get automatic entry for a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses.
- Permanent employees: 1 permit per calendar month, printed through Online Services. Permits can be used in S11 lots on Skipper Bowles Dr, UNC-Chapel Hill/Town Park-and-Ride lots, or remote work locations (“R” zone) – excluding R2 lot.
- Students: 1 permit per semester, printed through Online Services. Permits can be used in S11-Manning lot or UNC-Chapel Hill/Town Park-and-Ride lots.
20 free weeknight parking passes per semester via promo codes from ParkMobile (request codes). Use ParkMobile zone 4500, valid in weeknight parking areas.

- Chapel Hill/Carrboro: P2P Emergency Ride Back provides rides to local Park-and-Ride lots and residences.
- Regional commuters: Register for GoTriangle’s Emergency Ride Home (for employees only).
- PART vanpool riders: Use PART’s Emergency Ride Home program. (for employees only)
