Weeknight Parking
Weeknight Parking will be in effect Mon. – Fri, 5 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Events may impact lot availability; rollover lots will be provided.
Weeknight Parking with ParkMobile
Visitors to campus may use ParkMobile (zone 4500) or weeknight pay stations to obtain a $1 temporary one-night pass to park in designated weeknight parking lots Mon. – Fri, 5 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Transit
Part XPass
PART is switching Route 4 riders from the GoPass to the free UNC XPass program to offer mobile phone ticketing. PART will phase out the GoPass on Aug. 31. GoTriangle riders do not need to register for the XPass, and can continue using their GoPasses until Aug. 2020.
Service Changes
Several transit agencies had service updates.
- GoTriangle: Route CRX has expanded hours.
- Chapel Hill Transit: The NS, CM, CW, D, and other routes have changes. The HS Route now serves UNC.
- PART: The Four Seasons Mall stop has been removed.
Construction
West Drive Project
West Drive between Manning Drive and Mason Farm Road will close to through traffic beginning Thursday, Sept. 5, through Saturday, Nov. 16, for a repaving and improvements project. West Drive will also be converted to a two-way street.
OWASA Project
OWASA will be beginning the second half of the Main Water Line replacement project in the Fall of 2019. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on Country Club Road from Boundary Street to Gimghoul Road. One lane will remain open and flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
