Lighten Up with Free Bike Lights
Daylight saving time ends on Nov. 6, so make sure you’re visible! Lighten Up is a campaign dedicated to helping bicyclists and walkers be more visible in low light. Look for CAP representatives handing out free rear bike lights in the Pit on Nov. 2.

Remember these NC Laws
- At night, bicycles need a head light plus a red tail light (or bright clothing) – all visible from 300 feet – and a rear reflector at all times.
- When biking on the road, ride with traffic. When walking on the road, walk facing traffic.
- Bicyclists may travel on all roads except highways and must obey traffic laws.
