UNC-Chapel Hill will launch its new bike share program, Tar Heel Bikes, to provide affordable, environmentally friendly transportation across campus.

UNC partners with the Town of Chapel Hill to create a Homegrown Halloween celebration with the goal of having a fun and safe locally hosted and attended event. With this in mind, many roadways and parking lots on campus will be restricted for the event.

Stop by for free bus passes, a personalized trip plan, free vanpool for a month, and fun swag! This is your chance to give input on transit planning, learn about all transportation options at UNC, and catch a demo of UNC’s upcoming bike share program, Tar Heel Bikes.

Join Transportation & Parking for Three Zeros Day: A Celebration of UNC Sustainability, recognizing the many campus programs, groups and departments that promote the Three Zeros Environmental Initiative on campus.

Every year, Transportation & Parking partners with Alpha Phi Omega auctions off abandoned bikes to raise money for local charities. Bicycles will be available at the 2017 Bike Auction, to be held on Tuesday, September 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Business School Deck. Registration and viewing begins at 5:00 p.m.

With the return of students to campus this fall, Point-to-Point (P2P) Express has made several enhancements, including updated routes and new Express service vehicles, as the program celebrates its 25th year in operation.

UNC will be hosting home football games throughout the 2017 fall semester. Vehicles in reserved lots must be moved on home game football Saturdays.
