Christopher Dobek will join UNC-Chapel Hill as the new executive director of Transportation and Parking, starting Sept. 30.

The University is partnering with Bird for bikeshare service for the Carolina community. Bird is providing a new fleet of 100 electric assist bikes that can be used across campus.

As of July 1, all University faculty, staff and students are eligible for a free GoPass for GoTriangle bus routes.

Registration for the 2024-25 Student Parking Lottery begins July 3 and ends July 14.

Beginning Friday, July 5 through Wednesday, July 10, UNC-Chapel Hill will experience temporary parking and traffic impacts in support of a film production taking place on campus.

There will be limited transit service on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

William Blythe Drive will be closed to through traffic between Hibbard Drive and the access road to the Craige Parking Deck for approximately six weeks.

Cheryl Stout, executive director of Transportation and Parking, will retire Sept. 1, after 35 years of dedicated service to the University.

Public parking passes and park and ride boarding passes will be available for sale on the Carolina Athletics website.
