Dedicated patient and health care visitor parking facilities provide hourly parking access to UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC Health Care System. Hours of operation are posted at entrances.

The Dogwood Parking Deck accommodates visitors and patients at UNC Health Care, UNC-Chapel Hill Dental School, and other medical facilities.

During regular business hours (Mon.-Fri. 6 a.m. – 5 p.m.), employees and students are not eligible to park unless attending medical appointments and should request a Medical Appointment permit for “affiliated use” online in advance of the appointment.

Cars at entrance of Ambulatory Care Lot (ACC).The Ambulatory Care Lot accommodates patients and visitors to the Ambulatory Care Center. Only employees or students with medical appointments are eligible to park and should request a temporary Medical Appointment permits from the booth attendant upon entering the lot or register online in advance of the appointment.

The Weeknight Parking Program began on August 15, 2019. Parking on campus 5 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday requires a permit.

Employees, including contract employees, and students are allowed to park in designated patient/visitor areas only if attending a medical appointment. Medical Appointment permits are required for students and employees parking in areas designated as patient parking while attending medical appointments. Medical Appointment permits may be obtained online, through the Transportation and Parking Office or through a parking lot attendant.
