Mary Ellen Jones building renovation update. This project is pursuing LEED Silver certification for energy efficiency. The project is anticipated to have a 30-month duration

South Road Repaving
May 2016 – August 2016

Ridge Road Repaving
July 28, 2016 – August 12, 2016
Ridge Road will be reconstructed from Manning Drive to Stadium Drive. Reconstruction includes new curb/gutter, sharrow markings for bicycles, new crosswalks and pavement resurfacing. Ridge Road will be resurfaced between Stadium Drive and Country Club Road. Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic, and traffic will be detoured to Stadium Drive and South Road. Friday Center Drive Repaving

Porthole Renovation
September 2016 – Winter 2016
A new driveway entrance on South Columbia Street will be created to allow bicycle and pedestrian only access from the Porthole Alley entrance on Franklin Street.
Water Pipe Replacement on East Rosemary, Henderson, and Hillsborough Streets
May 2016 – Spring 2017
Contractors for OWASA will install new pipes and change meters that serve both residents and businesses. The contractor will work initially on Hillsborough Street, then on Henderson Street, and finally East Rosemary Street. There will be significant impacts on residents and vehicular traffic from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
