PART Bus
UNC-Chapel Hill is now offering free GoPasses to ride PART for employees and students commuting from Alamance and Guilford Counties!

PART Route 4 has direct bus service to UNC-Chapel Hill’s main campus from:

  • Greensboro (Downtown, Depot at 236 E. Washington St.)
  • Whitsett (TA Truck Stop, Exit 138)
  • Burlington (Alamance Regional Med Center, Exit 141)
  • Graham (820 S. Main St., Exit 147)
  • Graham (Alamance Community College, Exit 150)
  • Mebane (Cone Health MedCenter, Exit 154)

PART Route 4 has free Park & Ride lots at the bus stops in Graham and Mebane.  GoTriangle Route 420 also accepts the GoPass, and a free Park & Ride lot is available at the Durham Tech Orange County Campus.

UNC commuters who live in the Piedmont area not served by CHT and do not have a University parking permit may obtain a free GoPass to ride the bus by joining the Commuter Alternative Program (CAP).

  • Commuters with a University parking permit may request a free bus pass to try the bus.
  • University parking permits may be returned to the parking office for a prorated refund.
  • Park & Ride permit holders may choose to keep the permit and/or obtain a GoPass at the parking offices.
  • Commuters whose schedules do not match the bus may be able to join a vanpool for a low monthly fare.
  • Vanpool riders must choose between the $20 monthly vanpool subsidy or the GoPass.

CAP members receive additional benefits as well, including free parking options and access to free Emergency Ride Home programs.
