Transportation and Parking is upgrading gate equipment and visitor access systems for gated parking areas across campus as part of the Parking Access Revenue Control System (PARCS) upgrade project. Work to upgrade gate equipment at the Dogwood Parking Deck will begin Monday, March 25 and be completed by June 3.

Access to the Dogwood Parking Deck will be maintained throughout this project. Traffic control and Transportation and Parking staff will be on site to direct traffic. The project will be completed in three phases:

  • March 25 through April 15, the Mason Farm Road entrance will be closed. Patients and visitors should use the New East Drive entrance during this time.
  • April 16 through May 3, the New East Drive entrance will be closed. Patients and visitors should use the Mason Farm Road entrance during this time.
  • May 3 through May 29, two of the lanes at the New East Drive exit will be closed. Other lanes at this exit will remain open during this time.

Pay-on-foot stations will be available at the Mason Farm Road entrance and on the second level at the elevators nearest UNC Hospital and the pedestrian bridge. Patrons may also utilize the booth on the second level of the parking deck for payment.
