Transportation and Parking will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, for winter break and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.

Many transit systems serve UNC-Chapel Hill, including the fare-free, local Chapel Hill Transit system. Regional transit systems connect the University to surrounding areas. Park-and-Ride lots make it easy to catch the bus for work or class. Buses are accessible and most buses are equipped with front bike racks. Ridge Road Closed to Through Traffic Dec. 1 – Jan. 8

Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic between Stadium Drive and the Boshamer Stadium Parking Lot. Traffic will be detoured along Manning Drive and South Road / Raleigh Road.
