The University partners with the Town of Chapel Hill to support Final Four celebrations with fun and safety being our top priorities. To facilitate this, many roadways and parking lots in town and on campus will be restricted for the event.

Parking regulations are in effect and require a University daytime or weeknight permit. Some lots will have additional restrictions as indicated by signs at the entrances, particularly lots north of South Road. Restricted lots will not be available beginning 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2 through 1 a.m. Sunday, April 3.

Vehicles without a University daytime or weeknight permit in permitted or restricted lots may be ticketed and towed. Owners of towed vehicles must come to the Public Safety Building to have towed vehicles released from impoundment. Payment for the citation, tow, and any outstanding balances owed to Transportation and Parking will be required before the vehicle will be released. Citation and towing payment policies and online payment processing are available on the Transportation and Parking website.
