Rider Information

Point-to-Point Point-to-Point (P2P) services are available to University students and employees. P2P uses TransLoc for real-time bus tracking and on-demand service requests. In consideration for all riders, Point-to-Point (P2P) passengers are expected to follow rules for riding:

  • Adhere to all driver requests and posted signage.
  • Wait for riders to exit before boarding.
  • Do not board bus if it is already at capacity.
  • Check seat area for belongings before exiting.
  • No smoking, drinking, eating, yelling or using profanity.
  • Offer first row seats to patrons requiring accessible seating.
  • Do not participate in activities that distract the driver or are unsafe to other riders.

Passengers who do not adhere to the rules may be asked to exit the vehicle and referred to UNC Police or Office of the Dean of Students.

P2P fixed-route services do not operate during academic calendar breaks, University-recognized holidays, or when residence halls are closed.

Memorial Day No Service
Summer Break Reduced service begins the Friday before Spring Commencement:

  • P2P Express (On-Demand only)
  • P2P Baity Hill Shuttle (On-Demand only)
  • RR Shuttle (On-Demand only)

Regular Fixed-Route services resume the Saturday before Fall classes begin.

Labor Day
Fall Break Reduced service begins the Thursday of Fall Break:

  • P2P Express (On-Demand only)
  • P2P Baity Hill Shuttle (On-Demand only)
  • RR Shuttle (On-Demand only)

Regular Fixed-Route services resume the Sunday evening before classes begin.

Thanksgiving Break Reduced service begins the Wednesday before Thanksgiving day:

  • Services end Wednesday at 7 p.m.
  • No service on Thursday – Saturday
  • On-Demand services begin Sunday at 9 a.m.

Regular Fixed-Route services resume Sunday before classes begin.
Winter Holiday Break Reduced services begin Friday before Fall Commencement:

  • P2P Express (On-Demand only)

  • RR Shuttle (On-Demand only)
