The Commuter Alternative Program will be "gearing up" for National Bike Month with free bike checks and giveaways on April 26 at the Gift Plaza.

Many transit systems serve UNC-Chapel Hill, including the fare-free, local Chapel Hill Transit system. Regional transit systems connect the University to surrounding areas. Park-and-Ride lots make it easy to catch the bus for work or class. Buses are accessible and most buses are equipped with front bike racks. The Tar Heel 10 Miler race will affect traffic on campus and in Chapel Hill the morning of Saturday, April 20. Impacts will include road closures and traffic diversions/detours.

Transportation and Parking will be upgrading gate equipment and visitor access systems at the Dogwood Parking Deck March 25 through June 3.
